About Anna

A Master Teacher, Professional Storyteller and Children’s Musician, Anna Adler specializes in creating dynamic and engaging learning environments for children and adults.  Anna leads events and classes for young children that are joyful and highly interactive, promoting music, movement, and literacy development.

In addition to leading storytelling and music classes, Anna consults with childcare organizations, schools, parenting groups, local colleges, and community nonprofits to provide customized professional development, coaching and training services. An educator for over 25 years, Anna has taught at every level, from childcare programs and elementary schools, to colleges and adult education classes.

Previously, Anna designed and led highly successful training and coaching programs for the City of Boston including “ReadBoston’s Parent Literacy Leadership Initiative,” and “ReadBoston’s After School Reading Initiative”.  For her work with parents and families Boston Public Schools awarded Anna with a Service to English Language Learners Families Empowerment Award.

Anna’s professional training includes a Master’s of Science in Education from Bank Street College and a Bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College.  She is a LeadBoston fellow, a member of the Children’s Music Network, and a member of the New England Storytelling Network.  For many years Anna served on the Governing Board of Boston’s Family Engagement Network.

Raised in a family of musicians and storytellers, Anna received formal training in piano, voice, and trumpet. (She studied trumpet for a short while in the basement of the Metropolitan Opera House. Great Story!)  While in high school, Anna attended Interlochen Music Camp.  Anna is a trained Music Together teacher, and she currently performs with the Zamir Chorale of Boston.
